  4. than our own moon, and is in
  5. fact larger than the planets
  6. Mercury and Pluto. The four
  7. "Galilean Moons", Io, Callisto,
  8. Ganymede and Europa were 
  9. discovered by Galileo in
  10. 1609. They are large and bright
  11. enough to be seen with the
  12. smallest telescopes and even
  13. binoculars, Jupiter's jeweled
  14. necklace stretched out in
  15. a single line.
